Thanks, Mom. You’re TREEmendous!

Thanks! You’re TREEmendous.
As a child and teenager, I didn’t understand how much hard work, my sister and I could be at times. Honestly, I don’t think I appreciated your efforts enough.
I loved the daily lunches on the kitchen table and cleaned windows in my room. The simple things I never even asked of you. It was more a “Mom, what’s for lunch today?” or “Mom, all my socks are dirty!”.
Sometimes you responded asking what I was planning to cook or that I should go and wash my clothes if I need them. But in the end, you still did it and especially today I want to thank you for that.
Spending the last few weeks at home as given me the opportunity to witness everything that you do. You get up early, so no one has to make breakfast themselves, you take care of all our animals by yourself, you walk the dog, you do the laundry, you clean the house.
I always kinda knew you did those things, but now, I can see you do it.
Thanks, Mom. You’re treemendous! Every day you spend your time making our lives as easy as possible and without you, none of us would be where we are today.
I love you,
I’ve got my Mother’s Day gift sorted. It’s nothing big, but I know she’ll love it and I just want to show her what she means to me.
It’s not always easy to decide what to give your mom for Mother’s Day. Now it’s even harder since many cannot visit their mom on this special day.
So here are a few ideas to inspire you and help you say: Thanks, Mom. You’re treemendous!
Treat her with a feast!
Modern technology makes it possible to spend time with your loved ones, even if you are far apart.
So treat your mom with a feast!
Team up with your father at home or cook something yourself and drop it off. Then give your mom a video call and it’s almost like going out together.

Shopping for a gift can prove tricky in current circumstances. So what a great excuse to whip out the crafting supplies.
Most of us created cards and other things ourselves for Mother’s Day when we were little and I’m sure every mother has a box somewhere with all the self-made things from their children. Now is the time to grab the scissors and coloured paper again and create something sweet and personal for your mom.
Why not give this origami heart box and envelope a try?
Send her a video card!
Make your mom’s heart sing with a video from all the people near and dear to her.
Even if you are an only child there are definitely more people she has gotten in touch with over the years, maybe your best friend who loves your mom’s pancakes? Let’s get a hold of all these people and create a beautiful video message to tell her how proud and thankful all of you are. I bet, she’ll cry and love it.
Send her on a treasure hunt!
Let’s have a quarantine scavenger’s hunt!
Make her solve little riddles or clues to earn rewards like loving voicemails or a call. Maybe you can even place some gifts in her garden or in the house, I’m sure your dad would help with that. Your mother has done enough hard work in her life, it’s time to have some fun!
Check out this list of ideas for clues for a great scavenger hunt!
