GREENPOP GALA

GUEST GUIDE

The Greenpop Gala is a celebration of fifteen years of restoration and a commitment to the decade ahead. This guide is designed to help you prepare for an evening of refined wildness – ensuring your road to the Gala is as seamless as the evening itself.

What to Wear

The dress code for the afternoon is Cape Floral Finery; an elegant affair inspired by the Cape Floral Kingdom. Think deep protea pinks, moss greens, earthy ochres, and charcoal textures. Whether through a botanical print, a flower in your hair, or a nature-inspired silhouette, we encourage including an elegant nod to our local landscape.

In keeping with our mission, we encourage guests to consider the footprint of their finery. We celebrate creativity over "newness" and suggest the following sustainable paths:

Rewear and reimagine

Breathe new life into a cherished piece already in your wardrobe.

Choose vintage

Source a unique, pre-loved ensemble with its own history.

Support local

Commission a garment from a South African designer or artisan.

Rent the look

Access occasion wear through curated rental platforms.

Travel information

The Greenpop Gala will be hosted at The Olive Press, situated within the historic Boschendal Wine Estate. To ensure a relaxed start to the event, we recommend arriving by 14:00 for welcome cocktails and auction lot viewing.

Please note that there are roadworks currently affecting several key roads leading to Boschendal, including Paarl Main Road (R101), Klapmuts/Simondium Road (exit from the N1), and Simondium Road (R45) right at the turnoff to Boschendal. If you are traveling from Cape Town, the roadworks may cause delays of up to 1 hour. Please take this into consideration when planning your journey.

If you choose to drive, there will be ample parking and security at The Olive Press venue. However, if you plan on enjoying the world-class estate wines and botanical cocktails that will be served throughout the evening, we strongly recommend the use of a car service, Wolf Shuttle, or Uber for a safe journey home.

Address: Pniel St, Groot Drakenstein, Franschhoek, 7680
