This is an exciting opportunity for someone with financial administration/accounting experience looking for something a little different, with a good amount of room to grow and an opportunity to contribute to the well running of Greenpop’s accounts – a very important part of what we do. We’re looking for a dynamic, self-starter with a lot of initiative and a strong sense of organized, clear accounting/bookkeeping.

Our ideal candidate is highly organized, able to juggle various tasks at the same time confidently, able to work with different teams, good at communicating with production teams on budgets and training people where needed to use systems correctly, able to take on responsibility and work alone when needed, good at reporting, able to stay very focused on the finances in a dynamic and energetic environment, excited about working for a growing environmental enterprise and keen on the sustainability space.

Permanent position based in Cape Town.

We’re looking for an experienced marketer with skills in various media and platforms, to work under marketing Greenpop’s Experiences wing, with a focus on promoting our various events, trips, camps, and activations. The role entails this through the conceptualising and strategising of campaigns and promotions to increase the awareness of, gain registrations to, and sell tickets for, the various respective events. This role will work together with Greenpop’s Head of Communications and Greenpop Experience’s Head of Events, and will need to manage teams of interns, volunteers or external collaborators, depending on the
particular event.

Greenpop’s Urban Greening Programme is undergoing exciting changes in response to the water-crisis in Cape Town and to lessons we have learned on our journey with the project. The programme aims to effectively green 10 to 15 school sites over the next 2 to 3 years and to provide robust water-wise systems and education programmes for these school partners. It requires a good understanding of Greenpop as a whole, a keen passion for urban greening, urban ecology, fynbos, trees and water-wise systems, strong people skills and excellent project management skills as there are many stakeholders involved in this programme. It also requires being hands-on and having clear management systems to ensure all processes are documented, all relevant data and stories from the field are captured for impact reporting and team members/contractors are clearly tasked and doing their respective jobs effectively.
